This is the original Stark Naked and The Car Thieves. These are the original masters recorded at Producers Workshop in 1971. Produced by Emery Gordy Jr., and mixed by Ron Hitchcock.

In the spring of 1965, four singers, Les Silvey (also a guitarist), David Dunn, Mac Brown, and Larry Dunlap, left Indianapolis, Indiana with California as their destination. Things happened quickly and they became a very successful nightclub band from California to Canada, Hawaii to Indiana.

By 1968 they felt that they had found the ultimate combination with David (lead vocals), Mac (vocals & front man), Les (guitars & vocals) and Larry (vocals & keyboards). With the addition of Leonard Souza on drums and Mickey Borden on bass and vocals, they became one of the most exciting entertainment groups of that era.

In 1971, Larry joined their management team and Mac and Mickey decided to go in a different direction musically. Leonard simply didn't want to travel anymore. Les and David decided to reform the group and added Pat Mosley (bass & vocals), Richard Phipps (drums & vocals) and Gary Madison (keyboards & vocals). The album, “Pick Up The Pieces”, was recorded in Hollywood, by this group, in 1971. We hope you enjoy it.
