BSX Digital presents the original soundtrack to the 1996 Mini Series IN COLD BLOOD starring Anthony Edwards, Eric Roberts and Sam Neill. The 4 hour miniseries, based on a Truman Capote novel about two young drifters and the murder of a midwestern family, demanded an unusual approach to the score. Mann took the lyrics actually written by one of the killers (an amateur songwriter) and set them to music; the songs thus became the heart of the score, which was played on a handful of instruments including mandolin, dobro and bottleneck blues guitar.
Two-time Emmy-award winning Canadian composer/arranger Hummie Mann has collaborated with some of Hollywood's most celebrated directors in both theatrical and television films. His motion pictures projects include ROBIN HOOD: MEN IN TIGHTS, YEAR OF THE COMET and WOOLY BOYS. For television, his projects include P.T.
