THE COWBOY AND THE BALLERINA follows Clay Clayton (Majors), a former world champion bronco rider as he becomes involved with Natalia (Wing), a Russian ballerina who is desperate to flee her Soviet touring company and reunite with her mother who is living in New York City. On their journey, Clay and Natalia must outwit two agents (Booth, Huston) who are determined to see that she doesn’t defect.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eAs the principle theme of the film is a romance born of a clash between people from extremely different cultures, composer Bruce Broughton had to expertly weave their two thematic motifs together.
