Five Jays Records is proud to release a disc-on-demand CD-R of beloved composer JOE HARNELL’s score to the quirky film SENIOR TRIP. Written, produced, and directed by Kenneth Johnson for CBS-TV back in 1981, it was the fourth project he would team up with Harnell on since they first met while working on series THE BIONIC WOMAN in 1976. This album also includes both the underscore and original songs with lyrics created by Johnson.
SENIOR TRIP tells the adventures of a bus load of high school kids who set off from Youngstown, Ohio for adventures in New York City. Harnell’s score is a delightful mix urban and comical motifs as the teens learn life various lessons. Scott Baio (HAPPY DAYS) and Faye Grant (“V”) led the cast. We’ve also included the score for SCARED SILLY, an unsold 1982 television pilot directed by the original Gomez Addams, John Astin.
Joe Harnell had teamed up with Kenneth Johnson on several memorable TV projects that included THE INCREDIBLE HULK, CLIFFHANGERS!, the original “V” mini-series, HOT PURSUIT, and the pilot for ALIEN NATION. Harnell also composed music for the soap opera SANTA BARBARA (available on Dragon’s Domain Records DDR672).
